At Talcott Resolution, Pete leads an experienced management team that is focused on execution, active management of risk, and the prudent deployment of capital through both strategic investment and shareholder return.
Pete has 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 27 years at The Hartford where he most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer for Hartford Life Insurance Company and Hartford Investment Management Company. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a Certified Public Accountant. He sits on the American Council of Life Insurers CEO Steering Committee on Prudential Issues. Additionally, Pete is on the Board of Directors of Foodshare, a regional food bank serving Connecticut's Hartford and Tolland counties.
As Chief Risk Officer, Chris is responsible for Enterprise Risk Management at Talcott Resolution, including governance, monitoring, and reporting of financial and operational enterprise risks. Chris has more than 30 years of experience within the industry, and prior to joining Talcott Resolution, held various senior enterprise risk management, variable annuity hedging, and traditional actuarial roles at The Hartford and Travelers. Chris is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
As Chief Communications Officer and Head of Implementation, Ellen is responsible for managing all aspects of Talcott Resolution’s internal and external communications. In addition, she leads the business’s project management and product management work and is also responsible for the company’s community involvement function. Ellen has 30 years of experience within the financial services and insurance industries, and prior to joining Talcott Resolution, held various leadership positions in finance, project management and internal communications while at The Hartford and Travelers.
As Chief Auditor, Matt is responsible for developing the strategy of the internal audit department and executing the audit plan. He has 16 years of experience within the industry, and prior to joining Talcott Resolution, he was a Director at Risk & Regulatory Consulting, LLC and a Senior Manager in the public accounting practice at Deloitte. Matt is also a Certified Public Accountant.
As Chief Actuary, John is the Appointed Actuary for Talcott Resolution and is responsible for experience studies, product management, reinsurance administration, reserve and capital projections, and valuation, as well as being engaged in strategic activities. He has almost 30 years of experience within the industry, and prior to joining Talcott Resolution, held a variety of actuarial leadership roles at The Hartford. John is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and serves on the American Council of Life Insurers Actuarial Committee.
As Head of Tax and Deputy General Counsel, Chris is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Talcott Resolution's company and product tax planning and compliance. He also assists the General Counsel in managing the department. Chris has over 17 years of tax and legal experience, and prior to his role with Talcott Resolution, was the Head of Tax Law for The Hartford.
As Head of Pricing, George is responsible for Talcott Resolution's pricing philosophy that guides our business development efforts. He has more than 35 years of experience within the industry, and prior to joining Talcott Resolution, held various senior actuarial roles at The Hartford and Travelers. George is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst designations.
As Chief Human Resources Officer and Head of Operations, Diane is responsible for human resources, service operations, strategic relationship management, divested businesses, and real estate and facilities. She has over 25 years of financial services experience, and prior to joining Talcott Resolution, held a number of leadership positions in operations and information technology at The Hartford.
As Head of Corporate Development and Strategy of Talcott Resolution, Peter is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of the company's growth strategy. He works closely with our Actuarial, Finance, and Risk departments on efforts to continue to optimize capital and tax efficiency. Prior to joining Talcott Resolution, Peter served as a Managing Director in J.P. Morgan's Financial Institutions Group, specializing in insurance company advisory and financing transactions. He also held various roles in investment banking and capital markets at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and has over 20 years of investment banking experience in the insurance sector.
As Chief Investment Officer, Matt is responsible for the investment portfolios and strategies that support financial commitments to our contract holders and contribute to overall enterprise returns. He has over 36 years of experience within the industry, and prior to joining Talcott Resolution, was responsible for managing Talcott Resolution’s investment portfolios at Hartford Investment Management Company and running its Variable Insurance Trust platform. Matt holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
As General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, Lisa is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the law and compliance group. She has over 20 years of experience within the industry, and prior to her role with Talcott Resolution, was the Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for the wealth management businesses of The Hartford.
As Chief Financial Officer, Rob is responsible for the company’s GAAP, statutory and management accounting and reporting, treasury and banking, capital management, expense management, and financial planning and analysis, including the development and implementation of financial strategic initiatives, financial modeling and governance. He has over 30 years of experience within the industry. Prior to his role with Talcott Resolution, Rob was with PricewaterhouseCoopers and then held several leadership positions at The Hartford. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
As Chief Information Officer, Samir is responsible for the company’s technology function, including developing and executing on the strategic information technology roadmap, day-to-day production support, maintenance, information security and infrastructure. He has successfully led the standup and separation of Talcott Resolution’s new infrastructure and computing environment. Samir has 30 years of experience within the industry, and prior to joining the company, led various technology functions at The Hartford.
